About This Destination

The roadside station closest to the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge on the north tip of Awaji Island, with big bridge-view terraces, raw-whitebait rice bowls, an island-produce market, and an Awaji Island milk soft serve. The onion soft serve people associate with Awaji has, in recent years, only appeared as an occasional seasonal item, mainly on the island's south side, not here.

Michi-no-Eki Awaji sits at the north tip of Awaji Island in Iwaya, directly beneath the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, making it the first and most convenient stop for drivers crossing from Kobe.
