About This Destination

A vast hillside flower park on northern Awaji Island with seasonal displays of canola, lavender, cosmos, and salvia covering 15 hectares with views across Osaka Bay. Free entry year-round.
Awaji Hanasajiki is a sprawling flower park covering approximately 15 hectares on a hillside overlooking the sea in northern Awaji Island. The park's name means 'flower viewing seats,' and the elevated location truly offers a front-row seat to fields of flowers stretching down to the coast with Osaka Bay and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge visible in the distance. Each season brings different displays: canola flowers and poppies in spring, lavender and sunflowers in summer, cosmos and salvia in autumn, and stock flowers in winter. The park is free to enter and has become one of Awaji Island's most photographed spots. A wooden observation deck at the summit provides the best panoramic views. There is a small cafe and shop selling local products including Awaji onion souvenirs. The park is best accessed by car, with a large free parking lot available.
