About This Destination

Mori Building's 8.1-hectare district between Kamiyacho and Roppongi-itchome, opened in November 2023 around the roughly 330-meter Mori JP Tower. It is free to walk through, with about 24,000 square meters of greenery, a food market of 33 specialty shops, and the teamLab Borderless museum.

Azabudai Hills opened on November 24, 2023, and what most visitors notice first is not the 64-floor Mori JP Tower but how much of the ground is planted. About 24,000 square meters of the 8.1-hectare site is green, with the Central Green lawn between the tower and the low Garden Plaza buildings. Around 150 shops and restaurants are spread through the area, and the Janu Tokyo hotel is here too. For a visitor, the best stop is Azabudai Hills Market on the first floor and B1 of Garden Plaza C: 33 specialty shops selling fish, meat, vegetables, sake, bread and ready-made dishes, plus sushi and yakitori counters, open 10:00 to 20:00. Azabudai Hills Gallery in Garden Plaza A B1 runs rotating exhibitions, and the teamLab Borderless digital art museum has moved here with its own tickets. One thing has changed since opening. The 33rd-floor lobby of Mori JP Tower, with its close-up view of Tokyo Tower, was free to visit at first, but since April 2024 only office tenants and customers of the Hills House dining spots up there can go in. Shops close at 20:00 and restaurants at 23:00.
