Yomiuriland
About This Destination
Yomiuriland is one of the Tokyo area's largest amusement parks, spread over a hillside on the border of Inagi in Tokyo and Kawasaki in Kanagawa. It mixes thrill rides such as the Bandit roller coaster with a big summer swimming-pool complex, a Ferris wheel with city views, and the Goodjoba factory zone where rides double as hands-on making experiences with cars, food, fashion and stationery. From autumn into spring the whole park is wrapped in the Jewellumination, a jewel-coloured illumination that is among the biggest in the Kanto region. Reached by a short Sky Shuttle gondola ride from Keio-Yomiuriland Station on the Keio line, or by bus from Yomiuriland-mae Station on the Odakyu line, it makes an easy full-day trip from central Tokyo.
