關於此目的地
A shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of learning, and the site of the Tenjin Matsuri, one of Japan's largest festivals.
Osaka Tenmangu is a Shinto shrine in Kita Ward, Osaka, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, who is venerated as the deity of learning. Students often visit to pray for success in examinations, and the grounds are known for plum blossoms in late winter. The shrine is best known as the host of the Tenjin Matsuri, held on 24 and 25 July, which is counted among Japan's three great festivals alongside Kyoto's Gion Matsuri and Tokyo's Kanda Matsuri. During the festival a portable shrine is carried through the streets and along the river in a procession accompanied by boats and fireworks. The shrine sits at the southern end of the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street. Entry to the grounds is free.
