The coastline features an extraordinary collection of geological formations including sea caves, naturally carved rock arches, towering sea stacks, and small uninhabited islands, all shaped by the powerful waves of the Japan Sea over millions of years. Glass-bottom pleasure boats operate from Uradome Beach between March and November, offering intimate views of the rock formations, the remarkably transparent water, and the marine life below. Sea kayaking tours are also available for those who want to explore the sea caves up close, paddling through narrow passages between the cliffs. Uradome Beach itself has pristine white sand and is designated as one of Japan's top 100 beaches, making it popular for swimming in summer.
