The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route traverses the Northern Japan Alps between Toyama and Nagano prefectures using a series of cable cars, ropeways, trolley buses, and highland buses. The route's most famous attraction is the Yuki-no-Otani snow corridor, where walls of snow reach up to 20 meters high in spring. At 2,450 meters elevation, Murodo is the highest point and offers breathtaking views of volcanic peaks and alpine meadows. The route is open from mid-April to late November, with each season offering distinct natural beauty.
