One of the world's top aquariums, famous for its massive Kuroshio Sea tank housing whale sharks and manta rays.
The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the world's largest and most impressive aquariums, located within Ocean Expo Park on the northern coast of Okinawa's main island. The centerpiece is the Kuroshio Sea tank, one of the world's largest aquarium tanks, holding 7,500 cubic meters of water and home to whale sharks, manta rays, and numerous other species. The aquarium is organized by depth zones, from shallow coral reefs to the deep sea. The adjacent Dolphin Show is free and held multiple times daily in the open-air Ocean Theater with views of the ocean beyond.
