About This Destination

A hillside resort where the attractions are things you do yourself: ziplines, a giant rolling ball, off-road buggies and Nerf battles, plus a summer pool and glamping. Better for active teens and adults than toddlers.

Nesta Resort Kobe opened in July 2016 on a large stretch of wooded hillside in Miki, about 45 minutes by direct bus from Sannomiya. It calls itself an adventure theme park, and that is accurate: instead of coasters you get activities. The best known are Sky Eagle, a zipline you ride lying face down, and Canyon Drop, where you climb inside a giant clear ball and roll down a slope.

The park keeps adding things. A new area, Sunrise Road, opened on 17 April 2026 with two off-road buggy activities, and Blaster Battlefield, a three-team Nerf game, was refreshed in early 2026. Sky Eagle, Canyon Drop and Canyon Slide were paused for maintenance from 10 June 2026, so check which activities are running before you go. In summer the Water Fort pool opens.

Most activities are paid on top of entry and have height and weight limits, which adds up for a family, and everything is outdoors and weather-dependent. You can stay over in glamping cabins or the Premier Terrace rooms, which have hot-spring baths.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to Nesta Resort Kobe from Kobe or Osaka?

Direct buses run from Sannomiya (about 45 minutes) and from Osaka and Namba. By train, take the Kobe Electric Railway to Midorigaoka Station and a bus for about 20 minutes. Drivers come off the Sanyo Expressway at Miki-Higashi IC, about 2 minutes away.

Is Nesta Resort Kobe good for small children?

Partly. The headline activities such as the zipline have height and weight limits that rule out small children, so the park suits school-age kids, teens and adults best. Families with toddlers will spend more time at the summer pool and play areas. Check each activity's limits on the official site.
