Mount Aso

Mount Aso in Kumamoto Prefecture boasts one of the world's largest volcanic calderas, measuring approximately 25 kilometers north to south and 18 kilometers east to west. The active Nakadake crater, when accessible, allows visitors to peer into a vivid turquoise crater lake that changes color with volcanic activity.
