Adventure World is one of Japan's most popular theme parks, spanning approximately 800,000 square meters in the coastal resort town of Shirahama. The park was once famous for its remarkably successful giant panda breeding program, but all pandas were returned to China in 2024, marking the end of an era. Despite this, Adventure World remains a top attraction thanks to its impressive safari zone where visitors ride through enclosures of giraffes, elephants, and rhinoceroses, as well as its marine shows featuring dolphins and sea lions. Penguin encounters, animal feeding experiences, and a variety of amusement rides make the park a full-day destination for families and animal lovers alike.
