關於此目的地
An ornately decorated hilltop shrine built in 1617 as the first burial place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, reached by a long stone stairway or the Nihondaira Ropeway.
Kunozan Toshogu sits atop Mount Kuno on a coastal hill in Shizuoka's Suruga Ward. It was built in 1617 on the orders of the Tokugawa shogunate as the first resting place of the founding shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, who died in 1616. The main hall and worship hall, decorated with colorful carvings and lacquer, are designated a National Treasure. Visitors can climb a stone stairway of about 1,159 steps from the coast or ride the Nihondaira Ropeway from the Nihondaira plateau in about five minutes. A museum on the grounds displays Tokugawa family artifacts, including armor and swords. The site offers views over Suruga Bay.
