關於此目的地
A rocky cape at the northern end of Lake Biwa where about 800 cherry trees line roughly 4 km of shore.
Kaizu-Osaki is a rocky cape that juts into Lake Biwa at the northern end of the lake, in the Makino district of Takashima. About 800 Somei-yoshino cherry trees line roughly 4 kilometres of the shore, and the spot is listed among Japan's noted cherry blossom places. Because it lies in the north of the region, the blossoms usually reach their peak in early to mid-April, later than in many nearby areas. During the season the lakeside road becomes a popular route for walking and driving, and sightseeing boats run to view the blossoms from the water. There is no dedicated parking at the cape, so visitors are advised to use the car park at JR Makino Station. There is no admission charge.
