關於此目的地
A stretch of coast in Takaoka known for views of the snow-capped Tateyama mountains rising across Toyama Bay.
The Amaharashi Coast is a section of shoreline in Takaoka facing Toyama Bay, part of the Noto Hanto Quasi-National Park. On clear days, especially in winter, the 3,000-metre peaks of the snow-capped Tateyama Range appear across the bay, a combination of sea and high mountains that is unusual in Japan. The area is associated with the 8th-century poet Otomo no Yakamochi, and pine-covered rocks such as the Onna-iwa and Otoko-iwa stand offshore. A roadside station, Michi-no-Eki Amaharashi, overlooks the coast and has parking and a cafe. The JR Himi Line runs along the shore, and Amaharashi Station is about a five-minute walk away. There is no admission charge to visit the coast.
