Sanrio Character Park Harmonyland

Harmonyland is Sanrio's open-air theme park, spread over a green hillside at Hiji near Beppu in Oita, and the sister to Tokyo's indoor Sanrio Puroland. Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin and other Sanrio characters live here, appearing in daily parades, musical shows and meet-and-greets, alongside gentle rides, a Ferris wheel and a boat ride through character scenes. Being outdoors it has a bright, spacious feel, and it is decorated for seasonal events through the year. It makes an easy family day trip from the Beppu and Oita hot-spring resorts, reached by bus or car.
