Miyako-jima

Miyako-jima is widely considered to have the most beautiful beaches in all of Japan, with powdery white sand and incredibly transparent turquoise waters. Maehama Beach stretches for seven kilometers and is consistently ranked among Japan's top beaches. The island is connected to neighboring Irabu Island by the stunning Irabu Bridge, one of Japan's longest toll-free bridges. Unlike much of Okinawa, Miyako-jima has no venomous habu snakes, making it perfect for carefree exploration. The coral reefs surrounding the island offer world-class snorkeling and diving opportunities.
