About This Destination

A roadside station on Route 4 in Hiraizumi, open every day. Its restaurant starts serving breakfast at 6:00 in the warmer months, early enough to eat before Chuson-ji and Motsu-ji, and the farm stand sells vegetables grown in town.

If you want to reach Chuson-ji early, this station on Route 4 is the place to eat first. The restaurant serves a breakfast set built around local vegetables from 6:00 between April and November (6:30 in winter), then lunch from 11:00 until 16:00, last orders at 15:30.

Opened in April 2017, the station marks its tenth year in 2026. The farm stand carries vegetables and processed foods from Hiraizumi farms, along with local doburoku (unfiltered rice wine) and wine. It is a practical place to pick up fruit or snacks before a day of walking between Chuson-ji, Motsu-ji and the other sites of the World Heritage area.

The station is open every day of the year. The shop and farm stand keep 9:00 to 18:00 from April to November and close an hour earlier from December to March. From the Tohoku Expressway, leave at Hiraizumi-Maesawa IC; the station is about seven minutes away by car.
