Lagunasia
About This Destination
Lagunasia is the amusement park at the heart of Laguna Ten Bosch, a resort on reclaimed land in Gamagori facing Mikawa Bay. The ride lineup is modest next to the big Kansai or Kanto parks, about twenty permanent attractions, but it is easy to get around in a day with small children. The ride people remember is Pirates Blast, a semi-indoor mine-cart coaster through a pirate cave that gets you wet, so a poncho helps. Fire Fire Next is a laser-gun shooting ride, and in March 2026 the park added four dinosaur attractions, led by an outdoor 3D Dinosaur Maze about 120 m long (¥750 a go).
The park changes character with the season. From late June to late September the central area becomes a pool, with day sessions and a separate night pool from 18:00. In winter the Laguna Illumination takes over: Neige, a 360-degree 3D projection mapping show, reached its tenth year in 2026, and a fireworks and fountain spectacular runs in December.
Prices work on a passport system that varies by date, and pools and some attractions cost extra, so check the official site before you go. A free shuttle runs from JR Gamagori Station in about 15 minutes; Mikawa-Otsuka Station is a 20-minute walk. Driving, it is about 20 minutes from the Otowa-Gamagori exit of the Tomei Expressway, with a large paid car park.
