About This Destination
Grinpa sits high on the wooded southern slopes of Mount Fuji at Susono, on the Jurigi highland, and pairs amusement rides with themed worlds and outdoor activities. Children can wander a village of Sylvanian Families, explore an Ultraman attraction, ride coasters and a Ferris wheel, and try a large forest athletics course among the trees. The elevation gives cool summer air and, on clear days, sweeping views of Mount Fuji rising close by. It shares the highland with the Snowtown Yeti snow resort area and is reached by car or by route bus from Gotemba, Mishima or Fuji Station; most visitors drive.

What character attractions does Grinpa have?
Grinpa has a Sylvanian Families village where children can play house among the animal figures, an Ultraman-themed attraction, plus coasters, a Ferris wheel and a large indoor-and-outdoor forest athletics course. Entry to these worlds comes with admission: 1,100 yen for adults on weekdays, 1,300 yen on weekends and holidays and 1,500 yen on peak days. Rides and activities are paid separately, or with a One-Day Coupon at 3,500, 3,700 or 3,900 yen on the same three day types; a few, such as the run-bike park, do not take the coupon.
How do I get to Grinpa?
It is easiest by car, high on the Jurigi highland on Mount Fuji's southern side: about 20 minutes from the Susono interchange or 30 minutes from Gotemba, with a 520 yen round-trip toll for a car on the Minami-Fuji Evergreen Line. There is a large car park, free on ordinary weekdays and 1,200 yen a day otherwise. Route buses run from Gotemba Station (about 55 minutes), Mishima Station (about 60) and Fuji Station (about 80).
