Fukui Kodomo Kazokukan

Fukui Kodomo Kazokukan is a large indoor play and learning center for children, part of the Umin-pia Ohi seaside complex on the Wakasa coast in Oi, Fukui. Its play-and-adventure zone holds one of Japan's tallest indoor climbing walls, at around 16 metres, along with a giant ball pool and a play sailing ship, and there is a dinosaur experience zone. Quieter areas run craft and cooking workshops, and a gentle interaction zone offers toys and picture books for infants and toddlers. Entry to the building is free and parking is free and plentiful, but the main play-and-adventure zone charges a small fee, around 320 yen for adults and 150 yen for children. Because it is entirely indoors it makes a dependable rainy-day or winter stop, and the surrounding Umin-pia complex adds a marina, a michi-no-eki roadside station and places to eat.
