關於此目的地
The head temple of the Zentsuji branch of Shingon Buddhism and the 75th temple on the Shikoku pilgrimage, regarded as the birthplace of Kobo Daishi (Kukai).
Zentsuji is the head temple of the Zentsuji branch of Shingon Buddhism and the 75th of the 88 temples on the Shikoku pilgrimage. It is traditionally identified as the birthplace of Kobo Daishi (Kukai), the founder of Shingon Buddhism. The grounds are divided into two precincts and include a five-story pagoda about 46 meters tall, completed in 1884 and built largely of zelkova wood. Visitors can walk the temple grounds free of charge, while the treasure hall and the underground kaidan-meguri passage share a 500 yen admission. The pagoda's lower floors are opened to the public during Golden Week. The temple is about a 15-minute walk from Zentsuji Station on the JR Dosan Line.
