大分海洋宮殿水族館「海之卵」

Umitamago, officially the Oita Marine Palace Aquarium, stands on the shore of Beppu Bay directly across the road from Takasakiyama. Its exhibits include a large main tank, displays of fish and marine invertebrates, and areas where visitors can touch some animals. An open-air pool hosts dolphin and sea-lion performances with views over the bay. The facility is family-oriented, with a play zone for children. Because it faces the monkey park, many visitors combine the two in a single day. It is reached by bus from Oita or Beppu, with a stop near the entrance.
