關於此目的地
A garden in Kitagawa village designed after Claude Monet's garden at Giverny, and the only place outside France permitted to use the Monet name.
Kitagawa Monet's Garden Marmottan is a garden in Kitagawa village in Aki District, Kochi Prefecture. It was designed to recreate the garden that the painter Claude Monet kept at Giverny in France, and in 1999 it was given permission to use the Monet name, making it the only such garden outside France. The grounds cover about three hectares and are planted with tens of thousands of flowers across several themed areas, including a water garden with lilies and a flower garden. Plantings change with the seasons. The site has a cafe and shop. It is reached by car or by a village bus from Nahari Station.
