Mount Inasa

Mount Inasa rises 333 metres over the west side of Nagasaki city and is topped by a public observatory offering a 360-degree panorama. The port sits in a bowl of surrounding hills, so at night the lights spread out in tiers, and the view is often ranked among Japan's leading night scenes. Visitors reach the summit by the Nagasaki Ropeway from Fuchi-jinja Station in about five minutes, or by car and bus to the parking areas on the mountain. The summit building has a restaurant and cafe, and the observation deck is free to enter. The mountain also serves as a broadcasting relay point, with tall antenna towers visible near the top.
