Take the JR Uchibo Line to Kimitsu Station, then a direct bus that takes about 30 to 40 minutes and costs around 600 yen. The total trip from Tokyo Station is about 1 hour 40 minutes. The farm sits on a hilltop on Mt. Kano in Futtsu, Chiba.
What is Mother Farm known for?
Mother Farm is a 250-hectare hilltop farm park with sheep shows and herding, alpaca and capybara feeding, and fruit picking. The flower slopes change with the seasons, with rapeseed in winter and spring and salvia in autumn. It also has one of Japan's largest ziplines, which runs over the flower fields.
What are the admission price and opening hours?
Admission is about 1,500 yen for adults. The farm is open roughly 9:30 to 16:30 on weekdays and 9:00 to 17:00 on weekends, from February to November. Spring brings the rapeseed slopes and autumn the salvia, both good times to visit.
