About This Destination

A redeveloped waterfront district on Kobe Port with the Umie shopping mall, the Mosaic complex, and a harbor-side ferris wheel.
Kobe Harborland is a waterfront commercial district on the north side of Kobe Port, built on former railway and dock land. Its main draw is the Umie shopping complex, which includes the open-air Mosaic mall facing the harbor. A ferris wheel next to Mosaic gives views over the port, Mount Rokko, and the city. The area has a wide range of restaurants, shops, and the Anpanman Children's Museum, and it connects on foot to Meriken Park across the water. Many visitors come in the evening when the harbor buildings and the ferris wheel are lit.
