Yoshiki-en is a Japanese garden just southwest of the Isuien garden, near Nara Park, beside the small Yoshiki River. It is made up of three distinct gardens: a pond garden in front of the main building, a moss garden covered in cedar moss, and a tea-flower garden planted with the flowers used in the tea ceremony. The garden is quieter than the nearby park and its major temples, making it a calm place to walk. Admission has been free since April 2020. It is open from 9:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30, and closes for a short period in late February.
