Entry is on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, not the Sky Lobby on the 11th floor of Shibuya Hikarie across the street, and the operators warn that people mix the two up all the time. From the gate, the SKY GATE passage takes you up to the 46th-floor SKY GALLERY and then to SKY STAGE, the open roof 229 meters above the station. Every ticket is for a set date and a 20-minute entry window, and sales open at midnight Japan time two weeks ahead. Online, adults (12 and over) pay 2,700 yen to enter before 15:00 and 3,400 yen from 15:00. The counter charges 300 yen more, and once a slot sells out online it is sold out at the counter too. Children's tickets cost 1,200 yen and are sold only at the counter. The roof rules are strict. Only phones, plus cameras or binoculars on a neck strap or small enough for a pocket, go up; bags, hats, tripods, selfie sticks and earphones go in the 46th-floor lockers, and suitcases belong in a station locker. Wind, rain, heat or thunder can shut the roof at short notice. There is no time limit inside, but no re-entry.

## FAQ

### How much are tickets, and when should I book?

Adults (12 and over) pay 2,700 yen online for entry up to 14:59 and 3,400 yen from 15:00; at the 14th-floor counter it is 3,000 and 3,700 yen. Tickets go on sale at midnight Japan time two weeks before the date, and when a slot sells out online the counter has none either.

### What can I take onto the rooftop?

Only your phone, and a camera or binoculars that hang from a neck strap or fit in a pocket. Bags, hats, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, earphones and food must go in the lockers on the 46th floor, and staff check bags at entry.

### What happens if the rooftop is closed for weather?

If the roof is closed at your entry time, eligible online tickets can be cancelled free on the day, as long as you have not gone in yet; once inside there are no refunds. The indoor 46th-floor gallery stays open. Eligible online tickets can otherwise be cancelled free until the day before; counter tickets cannot be cancelled.

### How long can I stay?

There is no time limit after you enter, but you cannot leave and come back in on the same ticket. Last entry is 21:20 and the facility closes at 22:30.
