Past Nago, Route 58 thins out into a coast road with fewer and fewer shops, and Yuiyui Kunigami, about 36 km beyond Kyoda IC, is the last big stop before the forests of Yanbaru and Cape Hedo. Inside you get a farmers' market stocked by village growers, a specialty-goods hall, a cafe and places to eat, plus a corner with road and weather information.

The food is plain Okinawan home cooking. Inobuta, a wild boar and pig cross raised in Kunigami, used to be the signature, but one of the restaurants says supply has become hard and its menu now centers on Okinawan pork and beef, so do not count on finding it. Yui Cafe does sweets, and the Furusato-ichi market is the place for whatever the village farms are harvesting.

Shops close earlier than the road suggests: since 1 April 2026 the specialty hall runs 9am to 5:45pm, and the farmers' market closes at 5:30pm. Typhoons also shut the station at short notice, so check the official notices in storm season. The restrooms are open around the clock.
