Tomiura grows most of the Boso loquats, a fruit that has been presented to the imperial household every year since 1909. Biwa Club turns that one crop into a whole stop. It opened as Chiba’s first roadside station and won a national michi-no-eki award in 2000. The green-roofed building faces Route 127, a few minutes from the end of the Futtsu-Tateyama Road.

The loquat soft serve is made each morning in the operator’s own factory and is the thing to order. The shop stocks loquat jam, jelly, manju and candy, plus loquat-leaf products. The cafe adds loquat curry and drinks, with terrace seats facing the flower fields.

Fresh loquats are only in season from late spring to early summer, and picking runs from about mid-May to mid-June with booking. Strawberry picking fills the gap from January to Golden Week. The cafe was closed for renovation into early 2026, so confirm its status before you go.
