Michi-no-Eki Nose Kuri-no-Sato brings the farms of northern Osaka to the roadside. The station stands on Route 173 in Hirano, with a produce market, the Hidamari restaurant and counters for rice balls and sweets. Nose’s Ginyose chestnuts give the station its name and a particular reason to visit during the autumn harvest.

The shop changes with the growing season, so think of the visit as a chance to see what is available rather than a guarantee of one particular crop. Nosemusubi makes rice balls to order using the area’s rice. You can build a short stop around a snack, or make the restaurant your lunch break before continuing through the surrounding countryside.

Drivers should enter the parking area directly from Route 173. The operator specifically warns that navigation apps sometimes send visitors into a side road. Food counters have different opening hours and can sell out, so check the current notices if your trip depends on a particular meal.
