Kyoto Shinkoetsu Mura sits just outside Sonobe IC, where the Kyoto Jukan Expressway meets the roads into rural Nantan. This is a straightforward farm-shopping stop: local rice and vegetables are the focus, with prepared foods and other products made in nearby communities. Its small scale suits a break between destinations rather than an entire day out.

The regional rice sold under the 温心米 label is one of the products highlighted by the official station directory. Compare what is in season and look for food that will travel well if you are continuing a longer drive. The station also has a light-meal and cafe area, although its service hours need to be checked separately from the shop.

From here, Hiyoshi and the Rurikei area are possible directions for the rest of the day. They are separate destinations, not attractions within the station grounds. Check the operator’s closure calendar before planning a meal or a shopping stop around the interchange.
