Most roadside stations sell you lunch and send you on your way. Jobon-no-Sato also lets you take a bath. Futago-no-Yu, the hot-spring building here, has a foot bath as well as the main baths, and it is the reason many drivers on Route 45 stop at all. The station is named after Mt. Jobon, the nearby hill above this stretch of the old Kitakami River.

The rest is a practical stop done well. The Hitakami farm market sells vegetables and fruit from the surrounding fields, there is a food court for a quick meal, and a convenience store covers the basics. In Jalan's 2025 national michi-no-eki Grand Prix survey it placed seventh, two places behind A-ra-Date, the other Miyagi station near the top.

Leave the expressway at Kahoku IC and turn onto Route 45 toward Kesennuma; the station is about 500 m along on the left. Listings put the bath's regular closure on the fourth Tuesday of the month; the station itself stays open.
