- [Michi-no-Eki Nabura Tosa Saga](https://travel.japanvoyage.jp/travel_destinations/michi-no-eki-nabura-tosa-saga): Kochi, Michi no eki. A small station on Route 56 where bonito is seared over burning straw in front of you. Order the tataki in the food court and go before 15:00 on a weekday.
- [Michi-no-Eki Kawauso-no-Sato Susaki](https://travel.japanvoyage.jp/travel_destinations/michi-no-eki-kawauso-no-sato-susaki): Kochi, Michi no eki. A stop on Route 56 a minute from Susaki-nishi IC, near the mouth of the Shinjo River where the Japanese river otter was last sighted. Upstairs is Susaki's nabeyaki ramen; downstairs, Kochi sake and straw-seared bonito.
- [Kashiwajima](https://travel.japanvoyage.jp/travel_destinations/kashiwajima): Kochi, Island. A small island, about 4 kilometers around, tied to the Otsuki Peninsula by two bridges. The water is clear enough that moored boats seem to float in the air, and more than 1,000 fish species have been recorded offshore.
